Land Protection Tools & Techniques Course
Land protection seeks to ensure the essential benefits that land provides, such as clean water & air, biodiversity, forest and farm products, recreational opportunities, and health, are sustain in perpetuity. While interest in land protection is high among landowners, there is a shortage of professionals trained to help landowners achieve their goal of keeping their land in its natural state.
This course is a partnership of UMass Amherst and the MA Land Trust Coalition. It seeks to train individuals interested in learning the nuts and bolts of land protection transactions for professional application in order to grow the conservation workforce and increase the pace of conservation across the Commonwealth.
This ten-week course is includes both on-line and in-person components. There is an application process to attend. More information about the course can be found on the MLTC website.
